Who Can Join Penn Credit Union?
Membership in Penn Federal Credit Union (formerly Media Members Federal Credit Union/U of P Credit Union) begins with just a $5.00 minimum deposit, which we ask you to increase to $50.00 within 90 days from date of membership.
Penn Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution that exists to provide superior financial products and services to members, including current and former employees of the following companies and their families.
We serve employees of the following companies:
- University of Pennsylvania
- University of Pennsylvania Health Systems (or its affiliated institutions)
- The Wistar Institute
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
- The Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News
- The Philadelphia Tribune
Family members of members are also eligible to join the credit union.
As a member, you are part owner of the Credit Union. Because our focus is giving back to members, Penn CU returns available profits to members in the form of
- higher dividends and shares,
- lower interest rates on loans, and
- lower and no cost products.
